I've sort of decided what I want out of life. Well, one of the things.

I don't just want to be a published author. I want to be a published author who is a part of a vibrant, diverse but tight knit literary circle who's works define an era of literature for ages to come.

I don't ask for much, do I?

In further news, I now have a new project in my head that involves monkeys, rabbits, dragons, and an excuse for someone to say "Jesus Christ it's a lion!". Details as they become available. But I have a really cool working title for it. Or at least the loose amalgam of stuff that this idea consists of. It's sort of a big floating amoeba of a thing which could, one day, evolve into a novel or perhaps even more than one.

Also, I'm ambivalent about whether I should continue to use the "writing" tag. Because that's sort of the point of this entire journal/blog/LJ/thing. Maybe it's redundant, Y/N?

Yup, I dumped my "writing" tag. I have 'process," for process, "Pantheon," for muses, if I talk about them; "angst" for when I whine; "contests," for if I enter a wirting contest; "critiquing," for that, "fan-love" for if I talk about other writers in a disgustingly gushy way *g* "how-to-write books" "manuscripts," "planning," "plotting," "pro writers" .....oh, this must be boring! But the point is, is that nowhere do I have a tag of writing *g*

I went through my entire blog and changed all my entry tags so that they all fit this list I have, and that's all I use. I figured that way I maybe had a hope of finding things, if I needed to.

Good luck with the whole 'defining an era of literature!' I say, see the lofty heights, go for the gusto! *g* very cute.

Me too. I I'm bad at tags, generally speaking, because I either use too many, too few, or the wrong ones. I'm not good at boxing things up.

Well, either all my writer friends have to get famous, or I have to make friends with a bunch of writers who are already established.

Hopefully? A bit of both will happen. That is, if I ever get over my fangirlish gushing and you know, have the courage to go up and say "hi" to writers that I like. I've been in places with a few, but never had the guts to go up and say even a simple, "OH HAI I LIEK HOW U RITE! KTHX BAI."

Because I'm composed of at least 50% fail when it comes to social things.
