2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
These are the ones that she selected for me talk about:
1. monica belucci

This one I have because back when I was writing the novel-that-will-not-die, a.k.a Revenant Blues, I kind of used Belucci as my physical model for one of the characters. I really love Belucci as an actress and admire the way that she has a sort of radiant, lush beauty. Like the caption says, she's a sex goddess. Also? The only part of the Matrix I didn't yawn through was Belucci in that gorgeous dress pointing a gun.
2. default/writing wench

I picked this for the default icon to go with a lay out about seven or eight layouts ago. I kept it because I really liked the vintage-y look. I found it on a site full of typewriter pictures and did some photoshoppery to bring out the colors. The other title comes from some quote somewhere that's basically something about wenches reading or something.
3. tennant

A physical model for a character in the project I'm currently working on. Tennant is a favorite of mine, because let's face it. The man exudes charm from every pore. He's handsome, he's fun, he's a joy to watch and though Christopher Eccleston will always be my One True Doctor and one of my all time favorite actors, Tennant really filled out the role well and kept me watching. Plus, he's damnably photogenic and just all around a pleasure to behold.
4. there's no crying in baseball

A League of Their Own is one of the few "chick flicks" I like because it's the thinking woman's chick flick, and on my list of films that I'll stop what I'm doing to watch even though I've seen it 2000000 times. It's smart, it's about family and friendship and struggling rather than just a movie about relationships and shopping (my disgust with the attachment of women's literature to upper middle class commercialization and materialism is a subject for another time). Plus, it's historical and pretty well done in that respect, and it's done about a subject that doesn't get a lot of attention, and I always appreciate films, books, and other things that bring to light forgotten, little remembered bits of the past. And Tom Hanks is lovably gruff and rough in this movie. And as you'd expect, the movie is imminently quotable and one of my favorite lines is "there's no crying in baseball!"

5. wolverine vs. batman

A fun little icon because Hugh Jackman is not only hot, but I think he probably doesn't get enough credit for having a terrific sense of humor. Plus, it's the old DC vs. Marvel thing coming up again. For the record, I'm a Marvel girl and if asked, I would definitely say that Wolverine could kick Batman's ass. Batman may have the kung-fu, but Wolverine is virtually unkillable, has adamantium and/or bone claws (depending on what point in canon they're fighting) and has spent just as much time studying combat. Seriously. He fights people who basically throw fireballs, lightning, pressure bombs, and ice at him on a daily basis and is just fine. Sorry, Batman, you're out classed.

6. bucky

I'm a huge, huge fan of Get Fuzzy. I love it because in a way, I feel like I am all three of the characters. At moments, I feel like I'm the snarky, troublesome, self-absorbed, bumbling Bucky. Sometimes I feel like I'm the loveable if a bit absent-minded Satchel. Sometimes I feel like I'm the mediator between those two, the hard working, trying-to-get-by, trying not to go nuts Rob.
The panel in question features Bucky writing and calling to Rob, "How do you spell vengeance?"
I like the icon to use for things that piss me off about writing or just in general.
