"Guardian of the Dead" definitely lives up to what people have been saying about it! It is so very very good and atypical of the YA/urban fantasy genre -- it starts off with some familiar tropes and then subverts them in awesome ways (including the 'strong female character' type!) and keeps getting better from there. <3
