Oh, man, yes. My opthalmologist says I really, really need glasses - and I do, because I haven't gotten any new ones since I became partially sighted nine years ago - but, um, can't afford them right now.
So that's another thing. Are these SF writers of disabilityless futures assuming that everyone will be (1) rich or (2) living in a society with free health care?
