megwrites: Reading girl by Renoir. (Default)
Chapter 10 is done like a done thing.

It's done like a bun in the sun being eaten by a nun with a gun. I don't know if that metaphor works out in the literal sense, because the idea of a nun having a gun is quite worrisome and at that point, I probably wouldn't pay attention to any foodstuffs that might be lying around.

But the chapter is frelling done. That's the point.

And I got it done.

Also? This entry by [livejournal.com profile] lyda222 has managed to scare the crap out of me.

*whimpers*

You mean even after you climb the Mt. Everest of Getting Published that it might not work out?

It's like someone telling you that after you climb Mount Everest that you have to run the Boston Marathon and saying "oh, and BTW, FYI, etc, we thought too many people were finishing, so this year, we've added things like killer bee swarms and fire breathing dragons to weed out the weak. Have fun writing!"

*hyperventilates*

Although, I seem to remember "Archangel Protocol" in a bookstore somewhere a long time ago. I should've bought it. I probably did what I usually do when in bookstores, which is to read a lot of first chapters and buy nothing because I'll just wait until my library gets it. Because I'm so freaking stingy with my money.

I'm a miser, and I kill books. I'm ebil. Somebody shoot me.

Okay, now I feel very obligated to see if I can hunt this book down in my local library. If I can't buy the thing in such a way that the author will get paid, at least I can send a really nice email.

Feedback still means something, right?
