It's a jungle out there
Jul. 24th, 2006 08:26 pmYeah. So after visiting At Last! Writer Beware Blogs! I now despair even more of ever getting published.
Dude, I just want people to read my stories and like them. And if people are willing to shell out money, yay for me. But it seems like the only way to get your story out to the largest amount of people is to jump in the shark tank and swim like a crazy person.
Makes me wonder how many really, truly great stories the world never sees because of bad agents or bad publishers or just the nature of the beast.
*takes a deep breath*
Just tell yourself you actually have to FINISH your novel and make it submit-able before you worry about this. This is step #456. You are still on step #5. Panicking is really just self indulgent.
But still.
It's like somebody built a four hundred foot platform on the top of Mt. Everest and said "now climb *that*!".
