ZOMG! The boob-grab heard 'round the world.

Apparently, there's groping a foot.

Although, I think if it had been a foot groped, things might be very different. Because apparently Harlan Ellison was groping a breast, and I've been trying to keep abreast of the groping.

*is confused*.

I'm gonna go over here and try to figure out English again. We should so totally fix this language.

But anyway.

So, I've been trying to understand what the *frell* is going on with the whole "Harlon Ellison groped/stage!raped/assaulted/was just having fun with Connie Willis" thing. It's been buzzing for a few days now and I'm *so* confused.

I've been hearing slightly different versions. Here's one from Patrick Nielson Hayden. And another from Edward Champion.

There's some pictures here. (BTW, doesn't Morena Baccarin look really lovely?).

They're pics of Harlan Ellison on stage with Connie Willis. And it seems like they're just joking around. SEEMS. I mean, I've been on stage once or twice in life. And I know that in front of crowds sometimes you try to laugh and go with the joke even when you don't feel like it's funny at all.

Maybe it was a big ol' gag.

Maybe it wasn't.

So -

I wasn't there. I wasn't even close to there. But it seems like there's a kerfluffle going on, and I'd just like to know what the kerfluffle is about.

My questions are this:

1. Was this part of a gag/skit/joke?

2. Was Connie Willis bothered by it? Is she bothered by it now?

3. Am I missing anything?

On a non-kerfluffle note:

Chapter 15 is *so* done. Completed. Finished. Which puts me at four chapters and an epilogue 'til completion of this thing.

WOOHOOO!

I am so close to being done with this thing. I can't believe it. It's gonna feel so good when this is done.
