My monitor is 13". I asked my spouse about this because he's pretty savvy with these things.
He said that it was probably not a monitor or screen resolution issue, but rather something may not be parsing the CSS correctly. I noticed in those screenshots that not only is the navigation module not doing what it should, but other parts where white that should have been just the background.
I downloaded the latest version of Firefox just to see and it looked okay on there, too. I'll keep fiddling with it to see if I can figure it out.
