First I just want to say thank you for replying and sharing this with me. I know how scary it can be sometimes and I'm always grateful to those who are willing to talk to me about what they go through, even though it's not the same as what I go through.

I didn't realize that caffeine and coffee were good for attention. I guess I always figured it was bad! I'll have to see if adding more caffeine (maybe through tea) helps me be a bit more clear headed. Thanks for letting me know that.

(BTW, I also have a dog. Tell me about your four legged friend? Mine's Coraline, she's a year old, she's a mutt, she's adorable and frustrating and very, very dog all the time. She's cuddly when she gets tired and likes to lay on or around me and will sometimes bring me her toys in a way that makes me think that she knows I'm sad and is trying to cheer me up. That or she's just bored out of her doggie skull and want me to play already, human)

When writing becomes therapy for you, how does that work, if I might inquire? What sort of things in your writing or in the act of writing are helpful to you, mental health wise. I've heard lots of people say writing is therapy, but I'm not getting there. I'd love to! So if you don't mind elaborating, that would be super great.

I'm trying to find a therapist now. I have insurance that will cover it (up to a point) and I'm on meds, so I'm better than I was but finding a therapist has been TERRIFYING for me, because I'm not sure who to go to, how to get recommendations, and how to zero in on one that will be good for me and actually helpful. Getting mental health help is something I unfortunately have had years of stigma and hang ups about so...yeah. I'm trying, but I'm hoping that will help, too.

How did you choose your therapist, if I might ask?
