Pets! I forgot to suggest that in my last comment. I think their getting in the way of one's keyboard is a weird motivator: because, once you move them, you feel obligated. Book eating, though, oh god. I'd be traumatized. Even if Girlie!Dog certainly has the innocent/sweet face mastered.
