3jane has gotten a standard contract for her novel "Stolen". It gives me hope and inspiration. Also? Slight jealousy.
- I'm not finished with chapter three, but I'm perilously close to 20,000 words. I don't like that I'm pretty much 1/2 to my word count goal without being 1/2 to my plot goal. This novel could get LOOOONG.
- Boringness at work has lead to being able to write lots, because lots of free time plus readily available office supplies = progress!
- Considering posting each chapter as I complete it. And posting the prologue, chapter one, and the first interlude.
- No word count thingy today because I'm not on my home computer. The only pain in the butt thing about writing on a computer is that all your files are one place and sometimes you're another. But I'm somewhere in the 19,000 word neighborhood.
- Book pimp: The Pocket Muse by Monica Wood. Good for what ails ya creatively. Also? Good reassuring that writing is as crazy for everyone else as it is for me.
- This novel convinces me that either I'm on something, or I need to be.
- I just realized the strange out of context appropriateness of my icon. Originally it was a picture from explodingdog.com with the caption "there is a trojan on your computer", but now it actually is kind of representative of me, because I feel like I am kind of doing battle with this thing. This proto-novel life-sucker thing.
