You can haz poe-it-tree

What better way to further distract myself from one type of writing than to post another!

Originally when I wrote this poem, I wasn't going to post it, because of it's adult nature and because I wasn't sure it was good enough. Well, I let it sit and I polished it, but I still held off on posting.

Then I realized that it sort of made a hypocrite out of me to do so. I can't have a big ol' motto that says "the artist is not afraid" and then be afraid. So, after much hand wringing and fretting, I figured that it was better to be brave and somewhat stupid than hypocritical.

Warning: this poem is of an adult and somewhat erotic nature. Nothing too graphic, and you've probably seen worse on TV. If you don't like it, feel free to go elsewhere.

"Landlocked"
By: Meg Freeman

Quaking, your balls slap against me
you breathe in long draws
making the sound of water
drawing against a beach or the rock
or perhaps the White Cliffs
of Dover - am I the
White Cliffs of Dover laid on my belly
with my pale back to you?
If this is so, then I am the land
that holds you up and out and back
with the soft hills that are my
round shoulders and the plateaus
that are my sturdy spread knees
Have your fill of me at high tide
because I can take it to the hilt,
I can last until the moon inside you
has come to fullness and
your face turns to the new dark
You may rest a long time,
when you are finished. I will
neither object, nor tire, nor speak
nor scarcely even draw breath
only bare my teeth to
clutched and crumpled sheets
because it was you
great wave that broke
against me. Not the other
way around. Just you
remember that.
