I'm encouraged to see your novel isn't nearly as long as you want it yet.
Not by a long shot, but when I get done, I'm going to have to make sure it stays down to fighting weight, figuratively speaking. I don't think there's a writer a live who doesn't struggle to make word count, especially in the first draft when you're sort of muddling around, just trying to fill in blanks.
