You're just a writer. I do that all the time. Part of my problem is that I'm a very what-you-see-is-what-you-get sort of person, and I have trouble with deep emotions, and so I have to really dig down in order to figure out just what a certain character would feel in a certain situation, and I find I do this best in bed.
Of course, it may be that I'm crazy, but I'm pretty sure someone would tell me if I was.
