This is a very astute break down of how hate, dominance, oppression, and "socialized sociopathy" (what he calls it, and aptly so) work. While the topic at hand is Islamophobia, this can apply to so many other things, so many other groups who face hatred from dominant groups in society.

Here's another good link (re Moon and her being Wiscon's Guest of Honour). I don't just disagree. I want that disagreement made public. I want people to know how she feels, and how others feel. I want this debate so badly I can taste it. I want Moon to explain to folks I know who've poured heart and soul into both the Muslim and Feminist communities that they aren't good enough. I want Wiscon to give her space enough that she never feels she's been silenced, and others support enough to disagree with her in that space.
