New layout!

Let me know if anything looks weird in the browser you're using or if something is not accessible anymore or things like that. I sorta designed this layout (well, sorta). I mostly just tinkered and chopped away at the basic CSS for Tabula Rasa until it did what I wanted it to do.

You'll need to turn off all your modules except the navigation, unless you want to modify that as well. It may look funky if you don't.

And yes, you can borrow it if you like. And feel free to modify anything and everything. Credit would be super nice.

So, here it is. I call it "Flutterby" and it works with Tabula Rasa:

It looks like this (click for bigger view):

ETA: The problem with the navigation module has been fixed! Sorry for that!

So, let me know if there are any problems and I hope people will like this layout!

Really gorgeous layout! There is something off about the navigation, as it shows up like this on my monitor (22" widescreen):

float: right; position fixed for #secondary is most likely the cause, as it stays in that location as I scroll, and covers up portions of text in the entries. :(

It still stays in place when I scroll. :( Did you fix it in your layout?

It stays in the middle and covers the entry as I scroll. Example -->

its is now next to this comment box.

I'm using the latest Firefox. What size is your monitor? That also might be affecting the layout, since say, 20% won't be the same on a 19" and a 22".

The navigation links definitely stay put in the middle of my screen and cover the entries as I scroll. I also have a feeling that the entry width is wider on my monitor than what I see on your screencap.

I probably won't tryout the layout since it took me quite a while to get my current one the way I wanted it, but I will keep it in mind if I find I want a change.

No trouble at all, and it is a very nice layout that I'm sure many people will use. I'm sorry I wasn't more helpful, as my knowledge is pretty much based on what I learned myself through trial and error. :)

I've just checked and I have the same problem [personal profile] aidadesigns has. The nav links stay put in the middle of my screen and they definitely go over the entries.

I thought that maybe that had something to do with my browsing the internet with Firefox all zoomed in (ctrl ++ is my BFF), but no, I zoomed out until the font was unreadable and the nav links still stayed in the middle of the page.

I'm on FF 9.0.1. Dunno if this helps

I have no idea why this is happening either. I'd include a screenshot, but I think it's useless, considering how it's exactly the same as [profile] adadesigns. But if you need it, I'll take it Let me know.

I'm on a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate

ETA: maybe FF addons somehow mess with the layout? ALthough I have no idea how
I have:
-adblock plus
-add to search bar 2
-addon compatibility reporter
-FEBE 7.0.2
-livejournal addon 9.5
-Remove table 0.5.0.1
-Snap link plus 2.2.1
-Undo closed tabs 3.7.1
-IE tab 2 (disabled)
