I'm falling a bit behind on my goals. So here is me, kicking *myself* in the pants. I really want to finish this novel, if for no other reason than so I can go on to other projects. Right now I have this fantastic idea in my head that seems so shiny and new and writeable and it beacons me with it's sexiness and newness.

And I remind myself that *this* idea seemed just as shiny when I started, and that no matter what, all ideas eventually lose their novelty. You have to keep plugging because it's not just about novelty, it's about something better.

At the very least, it's about finishing to prove that you can finish at all.

I think the cat says it better, though.

I think you're doing great! Just stay with the one you have, well, everything you said so well :). It'll work out.

Of course, it's okay to think about other ideas. You really can do this and finish, and then when it's just the right time, the other will be there, waiting :)

Thanks. I make sure to jot down the ideas that I have, so they'll be waiting for me should I ever encounter the dreaded writer's block.

I'm glad you're on my f-list. It's nice knowing there's someone else who's in the same boat as I am.

I guess we'll be able to tell people we knew each other way before we became famous authors, huh? ;)
