I think that journals are best if the authors just write free-form, whatever comes up, with no special agenda. Well, some days are one thing and some days are others, and it's just all how you feel. The journal develops a voice or tone, you know? So I chose "other" because I don't want you to feel too stifled or directed, but I also chose things that I like to read the most, but I don't think that you should in any way abide by that.
Thanks. I guess I'm sort of wondering what it is that attracts (or alternately, repels) people about my journal and what it is that people like and don't like.
The point of this journal is not just to express myself, but to establish some kind of rapport with other writers, and with, I guess, the community at large. Which means I need to know what it is that the community is looking for. Not that I intend to let myself be directed by trends or fashion, but rather to find a way to connect with people.
Being a writer is lonely, being an author is a performance act. I guess I'm looking for critiques.
