I know. Is it wrong that I can still say the whole name and I remember that story so vividly? I loved it a lot as a child.

It reminds me of the really sweet librarian we had in elementary school who read us stories on the magic carpet (yes, we had a magic carpet), and her name was Mrs. Wilcox and she was really great.

My best memory of her was when she very snarkily replied to a boy who objected to a naked child that was an illustration in his book by saying, "Well, do YOU usually take a bath with all your clothes on?" I LOL'ed.

Our children's librarian was Janet Banks. She could whistle with two fingers in her mouth. HARDCORE librarian.

Yeah, that is pretty HARDCORE. It's amazing the little things that you remember from being a kid, isn't it?

My school librarian was Mrs. MacIlhenny (sp?). She occasionally went by Mac. And she taught us how to pee in the woods without hitting our shoes.

Best school librarian ever.

Heh. I'm your "almost none" girl. I try to read, but the cats are trying to make me illiterate.

Cats can be pesky, can't they? But somebody has to own the humans. :)
