Man, oh, man but I need some positivity to combat the recent streak of negative things in this blog.

All right, f-list, I have an assignment for you. Tell me what you're most excited about in the project you're currently working on. Share your most favorite line or paragraph or bit of what you're working on. If you've got some good news, sing it.

If you're not working on a project, or not the writer type, tell me about a book you've read recently and loved (or just any book you've loved) or maybe an author who's coming out with a book soon that you're excited about. What's hitting your literary happy buttons these days?

In fact, tell me anything good!

And since it's not fair to give an assignment that you don't do yourself, I'll start off.

I'm psyched that I'm nearly to the end of the revisions of the Tower!Guy novel, because then I can do the final line edits and send it off out into the wild blue yonder to make it's fortune. I'm excited by the outlining of the sequel I'm doing, because I get to really get things hopping in the next book. Intrigue! Dragons! Sex! Confusion! Confusion about Sex! Spells gone wrong! Invisible bicycles!

I'm also psyched about my oh-so-devious plans for April, which I still will not share. Not yet, but soon, my dearies. Soon. *strokes pretend evil furry cat* *ignores not-so-pretend double entendre*

I'm reading Eon: Dragoneye Reborn (http://www.eonbook.com/) and I'm excited about The Forest of Hands and Teeth (http://www.carrieryan.com/).

I don't have my current MS to hand so I can't quote off it, but I'm pretty enamored of Shiral as a character -- single mother of a biracial kid, not quite disowned by her family yet, poet in her copious spare time. And I just figured out why I need her in the plot. Yay!

Yay for almost done with revisions!

My happy thing is that my novel-in-progress is zooming right along, 18K words and plenty of plot left for a 50K book. Whee!

I know that zooming feeling. Isn't it great! I'm glad you're making such good progress, keep it up! :)

Um um I'm reading Dogs and Goddesses. Silly, but pleasing.

And I submit this. It will either cheer you or annoy you. Honestly not sure which. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtX8nswnUKU

Andrew showed it to me. It's sorta cute :) I enjoyed the screaming kittens and what not.

What is Dogs and Goddesses about, BTW?

It has a webpage.

http://dogsandgoddesses.com/homepage.php

It's about 3 women and their dogs and they get involved with this goddess. It's a lot better than I thought it would be when I picked it up at the checkout line at Kroger.

I'm working on my NaNo novel from 2008, which I seriously intend to publish, and a friend is sending books that I might use as a reference. So far, I love what I've written (not all, but definitely most of it).
I'm reading a historical mystery that shows that history is nothing but a battle of narrativs, and I enjoy it. The novel is An Instance of theFingerpost, by Iain Pears.
(Hi, I hope you don't mind I friend you)

Best of luck on your Nano 2008 novel. I always like hearing that people are turning a month of insanity into something great!

I'll keep that title in mind. Sounds like a really good book.

And please, friend away. I don't mind at all, and I always enjoy new friends! :)
