Well, I don't know what counts as a big name agent or not. I do know that the books she's represented are books I read and really liked and that she's made some really good sales and she seemed very receptive to new writers with strong voices.

But for those reasons, she was actually the second or third on my list, IIRC, and I was really thrilled with her responding quickly, because I'd totally love to work with her.

I dunno. Vermont was PRETTY DAMN AWESOME. I mean, first Iowa (and who saw that coming, I mean *IOWA*, but still. How awesome is that?) and then Vermont. Only 46 states and Puerto Rico to go and we'll live in a truly free land!
