I made today's wordcount mostly by the skin of my teeth, and in case you hadn't noticed - teeth skin? Not much to do anything by.

In my defense, there was a time change (although I actually gained writing time) and it was Sunday. Still, at least I did it.

Of course, I have to keep reminding myself that it's okay for the first draft to suck on charcoal briquettes and that I just can make notes to myself to rework certain parts when I'm not under time pressure.

Besides, great novels are not written, they're edited. All the best books you've ever read you can thank some editor with a red pen and a hardy constitution for.

With any luck, I'll break 10,000 by tomorrow.

Anyone got any interesting playlists for their novels yet, I'd love to see them. Maybe tomorrow if I make my wordcount like a good little writer, I'll make one up and post it.

You are ROCKIN' NaNo, fo real! I'm so excited. I haven't posted my word count yet because I'm hoping to write more after 10 p.m. I love your idea to take notes for editing later. I'm going to do the same!!! :)

Also, I have a playlist but I haven't been using it yet. I'm sure I will before the end of the month.

What an interesting book title! I also loved the cover art! I would've loved to do NaNo this year but I'm in the revision trenches of my book right now and would love to be out of that soon.

Happy writing!;D

I'm glad you like them. :) The cover is just a piece of art by Guido Reni (Renaissance artist) that I cropped and piddled around with in photoshop for a while.

I chose it because a) pretty and b) not copyrighted.

Yeah, I'm sure that there probably will come a year in the near future when I can't do NaNo, but while I can, it's really fun.

Good luck on your revisions, though. I know how tough those can be.
